  • Ah...

I've been so stressed for the past week 1/2. I'm on the borderline of being burnt out, I fucking hate my job, and I'm stressed about my chances of getting my new one. I don't think I've had to go through such a long and rigorous hiring process before, I'm seriously on tilt and frustrated beyond belief.

I went in on Tuesday for my second interview to meet the GM who will have the final say in whether or not I get the job but she got called into an emergency meeting as I was about to meet her so they told me they'd call me to schedule a third one... it's Saturday and I haven't received a phone call. I'm freaking out, I don't know what post interview etiquette says about how long to wait to call... this is stressing me out beyond belief. I've also been working everyday that i'm not at school in this hellhole of a job. I fucking hate this place so much, like it just kills me to be here everyday and the people I have to work with sometimes just ooh... don't even get me started. Half of my original coworkers have left and I'm just trying to be the next one out of here.

  • Review: Incoco Dry Nail Applique

After seeing this on nailsbyasami.com and being featured on Lovelyish, I decided I had to go out and give this a try. I went to three different Walgreens before I found any and even then, there weren't too many eye catching colors so I picked the only one with sparkles ('cause I love sparkles). The color is called "Flaunt" and it's a semi-hot pink with a bit of a shimmer to it. The package comes with:

    • 20 Color Strips
    • Cuticle Stick
    • Mini File
    • Polish Removal Cloth
    • and guessing two french manicure stickers? Why they would give me only two? I have no idea.

So the first thing you do is match up which nail stickers fit which nail then

Finished manicure 2 hours later. I completely forgot to take pictures of the finished one right after >.>

    Anyways, onto the review...

I thought that the idea of dry nail applique was really neat, no smell, no mess, and no fuss but upon once I was doing it myself, I realized that I would really rather be painting my own nails with regular nail polish. It really does leave somewhat of a mess (trash, excess stickers, etc) and it is fussy (cleaning off excess nail polish on your cuticles). Everyone that has reviewed it raved about it lasting forever with no chips but after only 3 hours, I have chips on almost every nail :\ I also found that the stickers were all too wide for my nails so taking off the excess ended up pulling off the nail polish on my nails.

Overall, I'm really disappointed in the product and most likely will never buy it again. I may try the french tips but that's only if they go on sale or something. They're $3.99 a package and it should be enough for two manicures that are supposed to last two weeks.

  • So things seem to be picking up and getting real reall fast. Babe and I have been talking about moving out for a while now but upon further review of our potential new apartment we realized that the rent is going to be crazy ridiculous, almost a little over $1k a month not including utilities and stuff and we're honestly not made of that much money (yet hehe). While babe was talking to his brother about us apartment hunting, his brother proposed that he buy us a condo and have us pay the mortgage and etc, it's just that he'll co-sign and take out the lease since we obviously don't have that kind of credit just yet. Then after 10 years or whatever, we can sell it and get our money back, and buy a house, whatever. So we've been looking around for a nice condo around 125k and we've really found quite a few that have caught our eye. The idea of us OWNING a condo/house/home together scares me... just a little bit. A condo is a big thing to invest in and 10 years is a long ass time! I won't even be 30 in ten years! WTF. This is such a big step in our relationship that it honestly freaks me out and I'm all about commitment, you can ask anyone! I guess this is babe's way of saying that he believes we're going to make it all the way through and it excites me yet scares me but I'm ready for whatever comes along the way :D. It's going to be a crazyyyy year.

Damn, being able to say that you own a condo when you're only 19 sounds like a pretty damn big achievement and it makes me happy.

Forrow Me!
